Welcome to Richard H. Young Hospital. As an integral part of Good Samaritan Health Systems, we represent a tradition of caring dating back to 1924 when our founding Sisters of St. Francis began their first mission in Kearney. Since opening in 1986 as a free-standing psychiatric facility, Richard H. Young Hospital has provided a broad continuum of care for all ages ranging from intensive inpatient to outpatient services.
Our patients benefit from treatment programs designed specifically for their unique biological, psychological, spiritual and social needs. Our intensive programs strive to resolve the immediate crisis as soon as possible followed by placement or referral to community-based services and returning the patient to the highest level of activity in their community.
